CMPi fire, security, police, safety and facilities events attract record visitor numbers to the NEC
CMPi's leading events for the security, safety, police, fire and facilities industries - The May Series - enjoyed a substantial increase in visitor attendance, during a successful run at the NEC last week (16-19 May). Visitor numbers were up but this has yet to be confirmed by ABC audit.
IFSEC, Safety & Health Expo, The Facilities Show, and ACPO - International Police Conference & Exhibition all saw increases in attendance compared with last year's events.
Security event IFSEC was consistently busy over four days. Pre-audited visitor attendance showed an increase on last year's event and with a record number of exhibiting companies reserving stand space for next year, 75% of the show is already sold out.
Neighbouring Safety & Health Expo also generated an impressive attendance increase on last year's event*.
"This year we have seen the highest rise in visitor attendance for a long time. Positive feedback from exhibitors and an evident buzz in the halls made it clear the shows had performed remarkably well. Such an impressive rise in visitor footfall cements the position of the May Series as the definitive events for their industries", says Simon Parker, group director at CMPi.
The adjoining police event ACPO also ran successfully with exhibiting companies all very keen to support CMPi's new launch for 2006, International Police Expo, which will continue to provide companies with direct access to relevant decision makers in the police and crime fighting market.
Biennial fire event International Fire Expo continued to build on its position as the leading European event for the entire fire industry, drawing an impressive visitor numbers, which encouraged many exhibitors to rebook their stand for the next event in 2007.
The Facilities Show also enjoyed an increase in attendance on last year, demonstrating the need for a dedicated facilities event within the May Series, with many exhibitors impressed by the show's evident pulling power across the FM community.
